I have to admit that I did not know the value of a life coach until I retired from a 35 year career in public education. I had consulted therapists periodically prior to retirement and always thought that everyone ought to have access to this resource. Someone to talk to when life gets rough.
Then I retired and boom, I was lost. I did not know who I was. I had been an educator for so long and by the way loved what I did - it was my calling and passion. I began questioning myself, who am I?, what am I? Without my career, I decided to sit in curiosity and pause.
Fast forward several years and I have discovered the new me. I utilized several strategies to travel this journey and I know I will continue to explore. I have met a lot of new people along that way that influenced me in my re-discovery. This is where I became aware of the life coaching process. I have embraced this process and I am now a Creative Depth Coach. Although, I am a coach, being a Creative Depth Coach is something quite different than a traditional life coach.
As I continue to define this method through blogging, this month, I will say I truly believe that working with a life coach is a powerful method to use at various times in our life's. I will outline the difference between a traditional life coach and a creative depth coach in my next blog. Thanks for reading, Cindy
