I just came back home from a 3 day Zentangle® event called "Tangle in the Desert, in Carefree, Arizona. It was great to see familiar faces and meet some new folks. It was packed full of tangling projects.
As I was driving home, I thought about what I would write today. And here it is, The Top Ten Things to Love About Tangling.
- Anyone can do it! If you can write your name, you can tangle!
- It’s portable. Waiting for a doctor, pull out your tangle supplies and tangle away.
- It’s relaxing. It will calm you down, slow your breathing, and create a chill place for you.
- It’s fun! Oh so much fun and especially fun when you have a group of people tangling together.
- Even with the same string and same tangles, each tile is uniquely different.
- Beautiful pieces of art are made by you. No art experience needed. Ask me about that, I know.
- Tangles can be put on just about anything; shirts, shoes, hats, totes……
- It’s a great way to involve the whole family. Each family member can put a different tangle on the paper you are working on, to create a wonderful piece of art that can then be framed.
- Once you begin tangling, you will find patterns for tangles in your environment.
- There is a huge tangling community with all kinds of resources. The world is your tangle.
